1. Introduction

Welcome to the Jack Davison Racing Club (JDRC), where we aim to provide the thrill of racehorse ownership to a wider audience. By purchasing shares and becoming a member of our club, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

2. Membership and Benefits

2.1 Membership Eligibility: To become a member, you must meet the eligibility criteria established by the JDRC, including any age restrictions.

2.2 Application and Fees: Details regarding membership applications and associated fees, if applicable, will be available on our website.

2.3 Membership Benefits: As a valued member, you will enjoy the following benefits:

• Exclusive opportunities to participate in races with your horse in our club's distinctive colours.

• Regular updates and information about the club's horses, including exciting trips to the races and yard visit.

• Complimentary racecourse entry and parade ring access (subject to availability; a fair draw system may be used if necessary).

• A pro-rata share in 100% of any net prize money won by JDRC horses.

3. Prize Money Distribution

3.1 Distribution Schedule: Prize money will be distributed annually, with the exact date communicated to members.

3.2 Calculation: The amount allocated to unit holders will be the net total received by the JDRC from Horse Racing Ireland.

3.3 No Guarantee: Please note that due to the unpredictable nature of horse racing, there is no assurance of future prize money.

4. Ownership Shares

4.1 Shares: Each ownership share, priced at €375.00, corresponds to a 1% ownership stake in our JDRC horses. A 1% lease share grants you ownership rights in both of our JDRC horses (0.5% per horse).

4.2 The maximum number of available shares will not exceed 200, and each share is designated for a single individual; shared ownership is not permitted.

4.3 There is no limit on the amount of shares one person can purchase.

5. Lease Duration

Ownership lease duration runs from 01//01/2024 to 31/12/2024.

6. Horse Insurance

All JDRC horses will run at the JDRC's risk, and they will not be insured unless specified otherwise.

 

7. Foreign Travel Costs

Costs associated with a horse's travel outside the trainer's country will be deducted from the syndicate's HRI account.

 

8. Uncollected Prize Money

In cases where prize money remains uncollected for one year, the JDRC will retain the unclaimed funds.

9. Veterinary 

9.1 All-inclusive veterinary fees are subject to a threshold amount of €1,000.  Any decisions on excess veterinary costs thereafter will ultimately be at the discretion of the management of the JDRC club.

 

10. Membership Eligibility

Membership in the JDRC is open to individuals aged 18 or older. Individuals who have been banned or warned off by any racing authority may not become members.

 

11. Use of Inside Information

Members are prohibited from using inside information to exploit a horse's adverse performance but may engage in betting activities based on their own judgment.

 

12. Behavior Expectations

Members are expected to conduct themselves respectfully during visits and club activities. Violation of these expectations may result in removal from the JDRC, at the discretion of the management.

 

13. Entertainment Focus

Membership in the JDRC is primarily designed for personal entertainment and enjoyment and is not intended as an investment opportunity.

14. Decision Authority

Decisions regarding horses, training, administration, and management will primarily rest with the horse's trainer, Jack Davison.

15. Agreement and Privacy

By completing your share purchase, you signify your agreement to these terms and conditions. For information on client identity verification and data privacy, please refer to our Privacy Notice on our website.

 

16. Winding Up

In the event of the JDRC winding up, payments to Horse Racing Ireland, the horse's trainer, and other essential expenses will take precedence over unit holder funds.

 

17. Amendments

The Jack Davison Racing Club reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions, with notice provided to members.

 

By purchasing shares in the Jack Davison Racing Club, you expressly agree to these terms and conditions. Specific terms outlined on the horse's page at the time of entry into the Club take precedence over these general terms in case of conflicts.
